Durable airlock seals for mounting in the airlock on CM-2400. Fits both CM-2400S and CM-2400 Deluxe.

The airlock on the CM-2400 contains 6 pcs. airlock seals. With 6 airlock seals in the airlock, there is a minimal pressure drop.

The airlock seals is manufactured of reinforced rubber.

  • Specifications

    Rubber seal for mounting in the airlock are made of durable rubber, and designed so that they end completely tight in the airlock.

    Intact rubber seals are a prerequisite for maintaining a high production rate. Broken or worn rubber patches reduce the blowing pressure and reduce the flow of the insulation material through the insulation hoses.

    There are various methods to assess whether the pressure in the airlock is intact. Some insulation machines have a pressure gauge that can measure the pressure of the airlock when you block the air outlet. Otherwise, leaky rubber seals are revealed at a reduced production rate or by air "popping up" through the insulation material in the material hopper.

    On most insulation machines, it is relatively easy to change rubber seal. It is important that the new rubber seals are fitted correctly and end tightly in the airlock. Most often, all rubber seals are changed at once. It is different from machine to machine how many rubber seals are mounted in the airlock.     The wear on the rubber seals is different, depending on which insulation materials are primarily used:

    • Paper insulation and wood fiber insulation wear minimally on the rubber patches.
    • Glass wool wears a little more on the rubber patches.
    • Stone wool wears a lot on the rubber patches.
